Job Description:

This exciting role will require you to joint manage my client’s lettings team.
Working on behalf of the Directors you will endeavour to monitor the lettings process to ensure that all procedures are adhered to in accordance with property law and legislation.

Key duties and responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide rental market assessments and negotiate prices with Landlords to achieve a larger property portfolio.
  • Managing the existing team of lettings negotiators to a high standard, coaching and improving new lettings negotiators.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with all landlords
  • Be aware of competitor performance and activity
  • Ensure you are familiar with and perform within the parameters of my client’s processes at all times
  • Produce and deliver business reports as directed by your line manager
  • Generate landlord leads through marketing activities assisted by the marketing manager
  • Liaise with Directors on staff performance, market conditions, and any other issues that arise
  • Work with the rest of the business to achieve best results across the Group
  • Dealing with enquiries from applicants on a daily basis including walk-ins, telephone and email queries.
  • Ensure staff are updating all details on the website/window display with current properties and any new instructions must be advertised promptly and effectively
  • Liaise with the Sales Manager regarding marketing, advertising and touting to optimise both lettings and sales.

Job Requirements:

It is imperative you can deliver under pressure and be confident dealing with a broad spectrum of clients both in person and over the phone. This is a varied role and therefore the successful candidate must be flexible and have a very proactive approach. 

General requirements:

  • Accuracy, and timely production of management information and reports
  • Reliable and presentable
  • Knowledge of all areas of the business
  • Knowledge of property law
  • Ability to work in a busy environment effectively
  • Can do attitude
  • Customer focused
  • Willing to work outside of office hours to fulfil the function of the role
  • First-rate communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to prioritise work effectively
  • Making clear decisions and dealing with challenges positively
  • Communicating clearly and persuasively whilst working cooperatively and supportively with people inside and outside of the Group.
  • Defining priorities and organising yourself so you can deliver them
  • Working to the highest professional and ethical standards in order to provide an excellent service
  • Good presentation skills
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Have a great eye for detail
  • To be able to work alone and on own initiative as well as within a team
  • To be able to think on your feet, be reactive to situations as they arise in a calm and professional manner
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Dressing and acting in a professional manner
  • Business winning/ development mentality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced target driven environment.
  • Trustworthy and genuine persona

​​Experience and qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years recent Lettings experience
  • Recent experience in a senior/supervisory role managing a team of Negotiators.
  • NFoPP level 3 or similar essential.
  • IT literate with knowledge of standard letting agency platforms.
